I'm afraid I have no idea if 18 is in her prime or whether that means she's a grand old lady (I tried looking on the web and anytime it came to age it just said ???, grrr!) but regardless I hope she has a very happy hatchday!
Certainly looks like it's going to be fun, I see even the ladybird is in on the cocktail action *jealous*
I have everybody drinking because 18 was the legal drinking age when I was turning "legal" waaaaaay back in time. It's probably 21 in every state these days but 18 was the important year for me back then. :-) I hope that explains the celebration a little bit better.
And I guess it's normal to think of lifespan on birthdays once you get way beyond that legal drinking age. Hadn't thought of that. :-/ Meyer's parrots live for 25-30 years so I guess Stella could be celebrating her middle age years if we're celebrating hatchday/birthdays in bird years.
Yeah, I had to put the ladybug in there too. Just had to. :-)
Hey everybody-Thank you for all the nice hatchday wishes! Stella must have heard them because she is surprisingly very good tonight.
Gina-Stella did have a happy day. She got to spend several hours tonight inside the medicine cabinet. It's her favorite place to take a nap.
Mental-She IS a beautiful baby bird and another "b" word too.....BAD. :-)
Tristan and Crikey-You are so right. A Niptini would be the perfect drink. Do you two cats have experience living with a bird? Sounds like it!
Snakey-Ha ha ha. I've got to remember to bring in the five minute version of her pasta pot tinging performance.
Violet-BIRDday is right! And any day dedicated to the bird known as Stella is what Stella aims for every day. :-)
Barb-Red wine is her favorite...to tip over. I don't know what it is but if she sees a glass of red wine left on a table, she attacks it and is really good at flinging the glass toward white upholstery. Go ahead and drink that toast to her with your red wine. I wish I could. <:-( I kind of stopped buying it because of the fling issue we have in this house.
Barb and DeeDee- Thank you for the nice compliments on the party photo. I was up way too late last night putting it together but it was fun.
Maureen-Is Pacino as bad as Stella? I've met Senegals and other Meyer's and none of them come close with the calculating evil in my little bird's head. I hope you have a sweet one.
I should stop saying how bad Stella is but for some reason, that's what I really like about her too. Go figure.
I'm an illustrator who lives in Kansas City with six animals. Half of them are good and half of them are baaaaaaaad. I tend to write about just the bad ones for some reason.

What a great composite picture of the Birthday Bird with friends! I'll drink a toast to Stella tonight - will red wine be OK?

Oh!! I missed this! Happy Hatching Day, Stella. You devil, you.
Thanks, Kate. And you know, I'm surprised I've never Photoshopped little devil horns on her before......hmmmmm.......
