The wedding reception (which was all about Boo, according to Boo)

Allison and her dad were enjoying a dance together...alone.

Boo saw what was going on and thought that looked like a fun thing to do, he wanted to dance with Allison too.

Boo was there within seconds.

"Mister, that's my new mom!" "I'm cutting in.......Mister?................Sir.........um, Allison?"

They never even noticed Boo (can you imagine?).

Consolation.

But there were plenty of people to spend some quality and quantity time with...

...and nice people he had never even met before.

All was good again and maybe Boo was in the best place he could possibly be at that minute, that day.

His new mom and dad eventually found him (you can see a hint of Boo in the lower right)...

It was an absolutely perfect day (for everyone and Boo, since everything is all about the Boo, that's what I've heard).

The wedding day

The day could not have been more beautiful.

And then it was time to take pictures...

...with three constantly moving little boys.

Oh, forgot one.

Four little boys trying to stay still.

Or something.

This was the best picture I could get. Ha ha ha. I have no idea what the professional photographer ended up getting.

That pro photographer had taken a picture of Allison being kissed on the cheeks by her two sisters earlier in the day. He wanted Eddie's three sisters to take the same kind of photo. I just stared with a "There's no way" expression, Colleen was upfront and said, "We don't do that kind of stuff in this family," and Laurie said-"Hey Eddie! Get over here and BEND over."

And that photographer thought he had a hard time with all those boys. We could stall him out. I think we each had our own bottle of champagne too.

The wedding rehearsal

Not that any of us got too involved with that. Most of us were on the deck drinking champagne. These were two families that were not going to be wrangled easily...if at all. And why would you leave a view like this? It just was not going to happen. Difficult. Impossible. Both sides. Besides, there was plenty of champagne.

Down below and to the side of the deck is a great big rock. My sister Colleen said kids cannot stay off it. Sure enough, one kid.

No wait, two.

They just had to get repositioned a little bit.

Across from them was their brother and grandfather observing the ubiquitous Boo.

I'm not sure how Boo managed it but when anyone needed some nerves to be calmed or just needed something to do to kill time, he was right there. Like I said, an excellent host...(takes some odd pictures though).

Eddie's house (my brother Eddie, not the bird Eddie) July 3, 2008

My brother Eddie got married on July 4 (he and and his new wife called it their "End of Independence Day"). I heard a couple weeks ago that his old house was sold. Sad. I understand why he bought a new house to start his new life but that old house of his was sooooo great.

A view out the back door...

Turn to the left...

Now turn again and look straight ahead behind the deck...

Look to the right...

Maybe check out the front of the house (but I don't think anyone did, the back of the house was too compelling).

Settle down on the bench and look up and watch the tall, tall trees sway, sway, swaying in the light breeze under the blue sky.

This guy is going to miss that house a lot. There were a lot of nice parties on that back deck and Boo and his brother Bacchus were excellent hosts.
