Somebody whom I suspect is not a snow hugger.

This card is so pretty but good grief, that skirt is so huge it would not fit in my garage. And look, she dropped one of her packages. How on earth is she going to pick it back up without falling over and then having to roll herself home since there's no way she could get herself upright again without a lot of assistance.

I know that squirrel is thinking, "Suh-weet. That package she dropped is SO mine."

Aren't you glad hoop skirts are a thing of the past?

Dear Maria,
I often wonder what were they thinking...
Getting ready for another big snow!!!
Photo time.

TSannie-A big hoop skirt would probably be a good cleaning accessory in my house. One or two walks around the house and I could sweep everything to the front door to get thrown out and bonus, leave everything behind me dusted.

Kate-I couldn't think of anything to write about on Monday so I just went to my drawer of old cards. I've always thought this was such a sweet card (I love that squirrel!) but for some reason I fixated on the size of that skirt. I'm thinking this card is from the 40s, not sure about that. It just has a Dior New Look to it. I'm home with a cold today so maybe this is the perfect time to research the era of that card.

I sincerely appreciate your comment about liking my posts about collected ephemera because although I write this blog primarily for myself, in the back of my head I don't want to bore anyone who reads my posts with yet another thing I pulled out of a drawer. You leave encouraging comments about things exactly when I need to hear them. :-)

Sherry-Brrr. It's too cold to go out there and take pictures. And at 11 this morning the tornado sirens went off. That's some front coming in if those sirens were not a test. But then, this front might work out for you, you'd probably get your wish to travel with the snow geese and literally with them too. :-)
