When Rane was here last week, we attended a short concert at the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum and heard a flautist "flaut." In between her breathy flute playing she would stop to grunt, count, or have some sort of other outburst. Not my kind of thing. But if a bird does it.....well, that's different.
Stella was compelled to try out a new pot to explore tonight, a rather large and empty pasta pot sitting on the stove. Lots of exploration to do but the exploration was almost like soft percussion and when she contributed a couple squeaks and sounds, I thought of the flautist from the previous week. I was captivated for a long time but I will subject you guys to just a minute of Stella and her new musical skills. :-)

Hello.. I am Indra... I from Palembang, Indonesian Countries..I happy to have you read the blog ..
you have a good blog . I happy with you. one-time visit my blog
It sounds so peaceful at your place, Maria. And Stella's musical skills are quite apparent. I must come for a pasta meal sometime. We can have Stella do the dishes.
Any time I see Stella in your title, I know it's going to be a good one;) I wish you had recorded the grunting flautist. Now that would be something!
Kate- Any time. Come on over. But I don't think Stella will do the dishes unless they're made of paper. Anything heavier would get picked up or pushed to the floor. i think she can heave four times her weight.
Mental-No, you do not want to hear a cd of the grunting flautist. One person hearing it is enough. Gawd. And that Stella sure keeps surprising me with things and she's getting old. Her Hatchday is next month and she's going to be 18!!!!! :-)
how cute is that...lol..birds are so entertaining :) Everytime I read one of your posts, I get this longing to just visit with you and hear everything you have to say...this blog is just so, comfortable.
I love the way Stella moves around the pot seemingly finding just the right "note" to play. I'm enjoying yur posts.
Hehe! She is so cute. It seemed like she was trying to play along with the music in the background.
How exquisite! She is very good at pot-tinging.
*imagines playing in a human-sized version*
