On Thursday, it rained, it sleeted, it snowed...

...and then it all froze.

They say in the Midwest, if you aren't happy with the weather, wait 15 minutes and it will change.

Okay, I'm ready. Change.

Change back to what the weather was like the day before all of this happened, the day when it was 60 degrees!

I don't like seeing my coneflowers...

...looking like sno-cone flowers.

Well thats a very neat 'make do' - in spite of the weather. Very nice photos! Now I wonder if thats the very same storm the weather off is threatening us with tonight and tomorrow. It sounds like a whole bag of tricks - the nastiest part will be the freezing rain. Well, wait and see. ATB!

When the weather gives you ice--make ice cream. Or snow cones. Or wait a few minutes and it will change. Hope things are warming up there. Blasted cold here. And windy. But (knock on wood) no earthquakes.

Maureen-Ha! Actually they were gray (or grey, or your new spelling which I like-greay....although I know you meant to say "great" and I thank you for that) before I tinkered them heavily in Photoshop. I took three of the photos around 5:30 pm when I got home from work so there was just no contrast to them at all when I looked at them on the computer. I took the photo of the ice on the kerria the next day when it was very gloomy outdoors. Isn't that an interesting ice formation though? There were a lot of things flash frozen while thawing. There was a big icicle rope of hanging ice off a window---somehow it had slumped off the sill and then froze fast. Pretty cool. Couldn't get a good enough picture of that one though.

Mental- Yes. But I know spring will happen soon. And then it will snow again. But I know crocuses will be coming up soon and they look very pretty in bloom, even when their bottom halves are under snow. :-)

Rusty-There's a new storm starting that is going on right now. That must be the one that's in your thoughts. It's very dark outdoors (it's around 4 pm) and it just thundered....and lightninged (is that a word?) so I will probably have to get off this computer soon and watch what happens. "Bag of tricks" is right!!!!

Leenie-Everything but earthquakes down here. :-/ I don't mind earthquakes but I only experienced the non-damaging ones when I lived in San Francisco. I had some friends from S.F. visit years ago and they were amused to see that my house was not bolted to the foundation. :-/

Okay, time to go because it's either sleeting or hailing out there with the lightning....and the thunder. Yeezus (as my Norwegian relatives would say). I guess I got my wish for some different sort of weather than the one I was complaining about.
